Setting up your Tersus Base
Place your GPS antenna on a known/surveyed point (preferred, but not absolutely necessary) or in an open area for easy GPS broadcasting.
Connect the antenna to the Base via the antenna cable.
Plug the USB to port COM1 and radio to port COM2

Navigate to Tools → Pos Averaging
Select “100” from Min Sampler Number and push “Start” at the bottom left of the window.
After approximately 100 seconds a position will appear in the output dialog. Select “Fix Position” next to this line.
The unit can be configured before operation in office, or in the field. But once configured, it only needs to be powered via 5V USB cable on the microUSB port (i.e. it does not require connection to a computer to operate).
