Quanergy Workflow

1.Base Station Setup

First and foremost, your Base station is VITAL to having great data!! Position your base in a good location. This consists of making sure it is first in an open area. Not in an area that is surrounded by buildings, or underneath anything such as trees. Set your base up via tripod/bipod. Make sure your measurements of the height of the base are correct!

TURN ON YOUR BASESTATION

To get an accurate position of where your base is you can go to https://www.ngs.noaa.gov/OPUS/ You must convert your base into a Rinex file choose the .18O Rinex file. Or you can use a CORS solution. CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station). https://www.ngs.noaa.gov/CORS/

2. Mounting Scanner on Vehicle

1. Make sure you have all the correct parts. (Scanner, Mount, Battery, Antenna, Antenna Cable, Power Cable, Measuring Tape and any other necessary parts you need before you go out scanning). 2. If you have a Ronin Mount just slide the scanner on the mount and listen for a “click”, then tighten the knob on the side of the Ronin Mount with your hands. (Not recommended to use a screwdriver). 3. After you mount your Scanner, then you are ready to hook up your scanner to the antenna via antenna cable, and then connect to your power source (battery) via battery cable. 5. Scan and Collect Data

Connect to the A-Series Snoopy Wifi: A. (The Wifi address is your A-Series Snoopy's Serial Number.) NOTE (You should be able to locate this on a printed sticker, that is located on your scanner) The Password is: scanlook NOTE (all lower-case, one word no spaces) B. Open up your internet using (Google Chrome, Safari etc.) on your device (phone,tablet etc.) C. Now key in the Webpage IPA Address: 192.168.0.1

6. Settings

While connected to the webpage (192.168.0.1): Use the hamburger drop down menu, and click on “Settings”.

A. In settings, change the lever arms to the correct values. (The lever arms will be the premeasurements you took before starting the scanner, from the (xyz) stickers on your scanner to your antenna) B. Now change your “INS Script” to the correct positioning of your scanner. (Select the correct INS Script from the drop down menu) For instance, if your scanner is mounted on the back of your vehicle at 45 degrees; you would choose “Back of Vehicle: 45” You should not change any of the other predetermined settings in the settings menu. C. Click “Save Settings” at the bottom of the settings page. (“Settings saved successfully) should now appear. D. Now you are ready to go back to the main menu. (Click “Snoopy” to get back to the main menu)

7. Starting your Project

After setting the correct settings, from the setting menu: You are now able to go back to the main menu. On the main menu, A. Select “Create New Project” B. Name your Project accordingly. C. Select “Save”, to save your project name. When you are ready to start scanning, Click, “Start” on the “INS”. Then click, “Start” on the Velodyne. (This will begin logging data for your project). Stopping your Project When you are finished scanning, Click, “Stop” for the Quanergy. Then click, “Stop” for the Snoopy. (You may need to refresh your page, to connect back to the Wifi in order to stop your project).

8.Shutting Down

After you have stopped scanning, Click the red “Stop” on the Quanergy Wait a moment, then click the red “Stop” button on INS Now, after the tabs are red and the system has stopped recording; Go to the hamburger drop down menu Click on the “Shutdown” tab Click the red “Shutdown” button It will ask you if you really want to shut down? Press, “Ok” It may say “Unable to power down snoopy” but it has shut down but because the system is still running, it says this. At this point you have stopped logging data.
