Mounting your LadyBug Camera

LadyBug 5

  1. Carefully place your LadyBug Camera on top of the black brace of your snoopy mount such that the lens labeled “0” is facing opposite the direction of travel.
  2. Using the 3mm allen key and four provided screws, secure the camera from below onto the black brace (as pictured below).
  3. Plug in the black USB 3.0 cable and gray power cable into the bottom of the camera. Secure by hand-tightening the screws of the black USB 3.0 cable and twisting clockwise the head of the silver connector on the gray cable to lock in place.
  4. Secure the gray cable of the camera to the gray cable of your snoopy system using the keyed connector.
  5. Power on your white access point and wait one minute. (Click Starting out with Lumberjack for more information on mobile data logging)
  6. Connect your snoopy system to power - this will power your camera.
  7. Change the project name on the lumberjack logger and select start to capture INS.

LadyBug 3

  1. Carefully place your LadyBug Camera on top of the black brace of your snoopy mount such that the lens labeled “0” is facing opposite the direction of travel.
  2. Plug in the firewire cable and gray power cable(from Snoopy) into the bottom of the camera. Secure by twisting clockwise the head of the silver connector on the gray cable to lock in place.
  3. Using the 3mm allen key and five provided screws, secure the camera from below onto the black mount fishing the cables through the exit hole on the mount.
  4. Connect your PCI express card to your computer and apply power, then connect the open end of the firewire cable to the express card. If your computer does not support PCI cards but has a 9-pin firewire port, connect directly to the firewire port.
  5. Connect the gray power cable from your LadyBug to the gray cable of your Snoopy unit.
  6. Power on your white access point and wait one minute. (Click Starting out with Lumberjack for more information on mobile data logging)
  7. Connect your snoopy system to power - this will power your camera.
  8. Change the project name on the lumberjack logger and select start to capture INS.
  9. Once INS is successfully logging, select start to capture lidar data if applicable.
  10. To collect LadyBug imagery, continue to How to Use LadyBugCap
